Indianapolis FedEx Shooting Isn t About Gun Control OR Racism, It s About Letting Crazy People Get Away With Murder | Blog Posts

a- The shooter in Indianapolis, Brandon Hole, turns out to be a white guy, and suicidal as well as homicidal. (Black mass shootings, of which there are many, have a lower death rate, because the shooters are trying to get away with murder.) And speaking of getting away with murder, the custom of letting people judged insane get away with murder is one that neeeds to be abolished. I tweeted this: Mental illness was blindingly clear in the cases of Seung-Hui Cho. and a dozen other mass shootings in the past few decades. But in every instance, Democrats response was: Let s ban high-capacity magazines! Let s limit private gun sales! https://t.co/UW0vu7QtHKpic.twitter.com/RSHDZWZJe6 VDARE (@vdare) April 16, 2021

China s economy springs back from pandemic hit with record growth

China’s economy springs back from pandemic hit with record growth Business April 17, 2021 Beijing: China s economy expanded at a record pace in the first quarter as the country continued its rapid recovery from last year s pandemic-fuelled slump, official data showed on Friday. The 18.3 percent explosion in gross domestic product growth was the fastest pace since quarterly records began three decades ago, but came off a historic contraction in 2020 during the depths of the pandemic. It was also slightly short of forecasts in an AFP survey of economists. While the coronavirus first emerged in central China in late 2019, the country was also the quickest to bounce back after authorities imposed strict control measures and consumers stayed home.

State s medical expert to grand jury: Police didn t kill Daniel Prude

Protesters stand outside of the Public Safety Building on Exchange Boulevard on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2020. A medical expert called by state prosecutors to testify before a grand jury in the investigation of Daniel Prude told jurors that he believed Prude died of a sudden cardiac arrest, and that none of the police officers who arrested him caused his heart to fail. The testimony of Dr. Gary Vilke, an emergency room doctor in southern California, flew in the face of the findings of the Monroe County medical examiner, who had determined that Prude was suffocated by officers. Specifically, the medical examiner had found Prude died of “complications of asphyxia in the setting of physical restraint due to excited delirium due to acute phencyclidine intoxication,” an indication that Prude was high on PCP.

San Antonio neighborhoods transform into a Fiesta paradise for debut House Float Parade

Though Fiesta has been officially delayed until June and many of its hallmark events have been outright canceled a new tradition made its debut this week: a House Float Parade. Featuring more than 80 homes in the King William, Lavaca and Roosevelt Park neighborhoods, the House Float Parade features plenty of the hallmarks of Fiesta papel picado, garlands, wreaths and piñatas abound. But more than a few took the challenge over the top by collaborating with artists and choosing themes that run the gamut from playful and irreverent to poignant and political. We put together a virtual tour featuring several notable house floats, which will be on view through April 21. If you want to see them yourself, a full list of participating homes is available at ourkwa.org/housefloatparade.
